It’s time to take a step
I wish I would have quit sooner…
10 years in the tech world taught me a few things. I liked the salary/commissions, the people, the security, the challenge, the travel, the stock options, etc…
It was FUN, but I was trading my time for money and often REALLY stressed. It kept me up at night thinking about hitting my quotas some months. It affected my mental state, it affected my family, and it even affected my HEALTH (landed me in the doctor’s office with appointment after appointment trying to identify what was happening with my body that was breaking down from the stress).
I was in the “rat race” as Kiyosaki describes it in “Rich Dad Poor Dad” (READ IT if you haven’t yet).
My husband and I dipped our toes in real estate 11 years ago with our first rental property while still working our full-time jobs. It took years to REALLY grasp the concept that real estate could provide a full-time living and give us more freedom of time.
Slowly we got more involved as we listened to podcasts, read books, attended events, I got my real estate license, bought additional properties, invested passively in deals, and connected with other amazing people in this space.
I WISH I would have taken the leap sooner and gave real estate my full attention back in 2012, BUT I wouldn’t have learned all the lessons along the way & come to appreciate time freedom as much as I do.
Everything happens for a reason and I believe God’s timing is best.
Are you in a job you love?
Maybe you are, but hoping to cut back and have more time?
Ever considered investing in real estate?
I’m happy to connect and help on your journey. You can schedule a time here.
